The Purpose and Benefits of the Event

According to JT Jones, recreation coordinator, the event is a popular annual event in the community that brings together families and children to engage in a fun and interactive activity. “It’s a kid/family event that the community really enjoys,” Jones said. “It’s a good time to get out and engage in the community and have fun.”

The Missouri Department of Conservation will be present at the event, providing assistance and guidance to families on how to use the fishing gear and catch fish.

“Children and families will need to bring their fishing bait, fishing poles and things like that,”

Jones said.
